Winter Storm Juno – 1/28/2015

The following is the latest information on the January 2015 snowstorm as of Wednesday, January 28th:


Alternate Side Parking is suspended Wednesday. Meters and all other parking regulations remain in effect. Alternate Side Parking and all other parking regulations are in effect for Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30.
Staten Island Ferry is running on a normal schedule.
The MTA has resumed service. For more information on bus, subway, LIRR and Metro-North, please visit the MTA website.
PATH Service is running. For more information, visit the PATH website.
All taxis are running. You can make a complaint about a yellow or green taxi, or about a car service, including complaints about price gouging.

Buildings, Offices, and Services

All government offices and courts are expected to be open.
All garbage and recycling collections are suspended. Don’t put items curbside until further notice. If you have already placed your items outside for collection, you may leave them out. Complaints for missed collections are not being accepted at this time.
Public schools are open. School bus service is expected to operate on a normal schedule, but there may be delays. After school programs and PSAL activities will take place as scheduled, but all field trips are cancelled. Regents exams will be administered as scheduled on Wednesday. Regents Exams that were originally scheduled for Tuesday will take place on Thursday, January 29.
All City libraries are open.
CUNY colleges are open.
Emergency snow laborers who have pre-registered should report to the location on their ID card. Those who are not registered can do so at their local Sanitation garage.
New York City parks are open during normal hours. Please use caution in parks under winter conditions
